DSL's Business Plan – PHASE ONE

1. The www.dslyoga.com website for Physical/Mental Yoga,
Conscious Stretching and Yoga Therapy Professionals:

A. Convert as much of my knowledge and skill as possible into
on-line courses geared toward Yoga Educators, Yoga Therapists,
and any health care practitioner who is interested in implementing
physical/mental yoga, conscious stretching, and/or yoga therapy
into their practice. …

Market is worldwide as there are practitioners all over, all they need
to do is read English, until I can get the website translated into other
languages (automation tools are getting better). … The trick is the
best students are capable of BOTH rational, linear thinking AND
sensitive, meditative feeling in a harmonious way. … There are
not THAT many of them, but I hope to find them, based on the
Scott Equation of if you're one in a million, there are STILL a
whole bunch of them somewhere in the world.

(There is also a subset of massage and bodywork therapists,
and physical/occupational therapists, who are very interested
in integrating principles of yoga or Conscious Stretching into
their practices. Technical name is Yoga-based, Hands-on,
Structural Bodywork, or DSL-Edgework for short.

This is the site for the comprehensive Yoga/Bodywork/Whole
Health system: www.dsl-edgework.com
(This will be focused on in PHASE TWO, below.)

At this time, this will be 5 or 6 separate courses — but all yoga
related — delivered in the form of 24 to 52 Weekly Lessons via
drip feed, membership software, paid for on a monthly, recurring
charge to their credit or debit card. (Member's access is fed to them
weekly so they cannot just join and download everything all at once
then cancel.)

Initial plan is — for the FIRST 100 to sign up — to charge $7 per
month per course, $17 per month for 3 courses, $27 per month
if they get them all. … There will be a Private Forum for them to
ask questions and give feedback which should give me enough
feedback and ideas to clear up any glitches or un-clarities or
make changes to how the material is delivered, including
possible changes in content.

1st Target is 100 subscribers @ $7 / month worldwide.
2nd Target is 100 subscribers @ $17 / month
3rd Target is 100 subscribers @ $27 / month
At that point, I would be getting $6,264 / month

Going to bigger number is of course an objective, but the
above is a good start.

B. The above website — dslyoga.com — can serve double duty to
attract that small handful of students who want to study and practice
at the level I want to teach and coach at in LIVE programs.

Group size of 6 to 12 students, for extended, intensive workshops,
5 to 6 days at at time. 8 to 10 of these per year would be great. …

I can double the size of the groups if I have two assistants trained
to help. … This is due to the personal, hands-on and close-contact
nature of much of my teaching in yoga and bodywork. …

I will do these not so much as Big Money makers, but to complete my
Legacy of training people who can do what I do. … But maybe they
CAN be more lucrative???

C. The www.letgoyoga.com website for General Public:

Much of the material in A. above can be de-tuned and marketed to
the general public. I would not provide much coaching or a monitored
Forum unless I find someone who can take over the management of it.

$7 / month, with an initial target of 1,000 people worldwide, more later.
Possibly break it up into beginning and advanced, for shorter courses,
so their up-front time commitment is less weeks (24 instead of 52),
but have inducements to re-enroll for more Weekly Lessons, Reports, etc.

I hesitate to push this too far without an assistant, though. The
potential, here, though, is a LOT bigger, I believe, with 14 million
yoga practitioners in the United States alone.

D. Coach.dslyoga.com is a website ste up to do one-on-one, personal
coaching for individuals who want a Full-Spectrum coaching experience
from me.

STRICTLY as an experiment, I intend (???) to market for 12 individuals
to pay $97 / month for me to see what I can do for people on a 1-on-1,
personal basis, over the internet.

I have Jimmy D. Brown's software designed specifically for this purpose.
Because I do not want to be committed to a process that is time intensive
and low dollar, people who sign up will do so under the explicit warning that
I might terminate this sevice at any time, or can raise the price at any time,
at which point they are free to opt out before the price goes up.

E. PUBLISH ON AMAZON … I have five manuscripts that are about 75
percent done, approx. 100 to 200 pages each in straight text format.
They need final editing and illustrations, which will make them many
more pages. … Use these as funnels to the above described
websites & memberships.

Amazon's Print-On-Demand or Kindle self-publishing team — Create
Space — seems VERY reasonable in pricing and range of services,
but you can do as much of it as you want on your own if you can live
with the results, which of course can be changed and re-uploaded at
anytime. Not like having 5,000 printed books in your garage!

McGraw-Hill received VERY great feedback on my contributions to
the **Structural Balancing** book they published that I showed you.
And I have a LOT more material near ready to go — 75% or so.

Thanks for Reading,
David Scott Lynn (DSL)
